Lots of pet gadgets say “works with Alexa” on the box, but what you can actually do with your voice varies a lot. We went through official brand pages and help centers to see which feeders, cameras, fountains and collars have documented voice and routine support.

This guide is based on manufacturer documentation, help-center articles, and owner reviews. We have not used these products ourselves; see How We Research Products. Checked October 2026.

Petcube Bites 2 and Play 2

Petcube’s support page says the Bites 2 and Play 2 have Alexa built in. Older Petcube cameras use the Alexa skill instead. The documented commands are “Alexa, ask Petcube to treat my pet” and “Alexa, ask Petcube to fling treats” for Bites, plus “Alexa, ask Petcube to play for [X] minutes” for Play-series laser cams. For a closer look at how it stacks up against Furbo, see our Furbo vs Petcube comparison.

Pros

  • Alexa is built into the camera itself, so it doubles as a small smart speaker
  • Treat and laser-play commands are spelled out on Petcube’s own support page
  • The Play 2 adds an app-controlled laser and an autoplay mode

Cons

  • No Google Home integration documented
  • Some features are tied to Petcube’s paid plan (check current terms)

PETKIT Fresh Element feeders

In 2025 PETKIT announced Alexa support for the Fresh Element Infinity, Fresh Element Solo and YumShare Solo. Documented commands include “Alexa, open PETKIT, feed right now” and “Alexa, open PETKIT, feed one-fifth cup at seven p.m.” Portions come in 1/5-cup (about 20 g) steps. PETKIT says the feature is meant for on-demand extras within the same day (up to 11:59 p.m.), not as a replacement for your regular schedule. If outages worry you, read our guide to smart feeders with battery backup and offline schedules.

Pros

  • One of the few feeder brands with official voice-feeding docs
  • Dual-hopper models support per-hopper voice commands (per the Alexa skill listing)

Cons

  • No documented Google Home support. Owners are still asking for it.
  • You need the “open PETKIT” phrasing, which is a skill invocation, not a native device command
  • Some owners report fiddly 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi setup

eufy cameras: check the model

eufy’s compatibility chart lists Alexa and Google Assistant support (live view) for the Indoor Cam E30, Indoor Cam 2K (C24) and Indoor Cam 2K Pan & Tilt (P24). These also work with HomeKit. The treat-tossing eufy Pet Camera D605 is a different story. eufy’s FAQ says it does not work with Alexa or Google Assistant yet. More options are in our roundup of pet cameras without a subscription.

Pros

  • Indoor Cams stream to Echo Show and Nest Hub displays
  • Budget-friendly way to keep an eye on pets

Cons

  • Voice support covers live view only. There are no pet-specific commands.
  • The D605 pet cam has no voice support yet

Furbo Dog Camera

Furbo has the most detailed Alexa setup of the cameras we compared. Once you enable the skill, you can say “Alexa, tell Furbo to toss a treat” or “toss a treat every 30 minutes for 4 hours,” set Furbo on or off, and use Furbo inside Alexa Routines (for example, playing music on an Echo when a barking alert fires). Wondering about the plan? See do you need a pet camera subscription.

Pros

  • Treat schedules and Routines are well documented
  • Furbo appears under Devices in the Alexa app

Cons

  • No documented Google Home support
  • Smart alerts depend on Furbo’s subscription (check current terms)

PETLIBRO feeders: limited and unconfirmed

Some retailer listings say PETLIBRO feeders “work with Alexa,” and a PETLIBRO skill shows up in the Alexa app. However, we couldn’t find an official PETLIBRO page that documents the commands, and owners describe the skill as limited. PETLIBRO’s Scout camera FAQ says plainly that Alexa and Google Home support “is not available yet.” If voice feeding matters to you, check the skill’s current reviews before you buy.

Pros

  • Popular, well-reviewed feeders with strong app scheduling
  • The Granary camera feeder supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi

Cons

  • Voice commands aren’t officially documented
  • No Google Home support documented

CATLINK and Halo: app only

CATLINK’s official FAQ says the Scooper Pro Ultra “does not currently integrate with voice assistants.” Its feeders and fountains are run through the CATLINK app. If you want a smart fountain, CATLINK’s is a solid app-controlled option even without voice support; see our best smart pet water fountains guide for more. The Halo Collar virtual fence runs through the Halo app and the collar itself. Halo documents no Alexa or Google Home integration. An unofficial Home Assistant add-on exists, but Halo doesn’t support it, and we don’t recommend unofficial tools for controlling a containment device. See GPS trackers vs. GPS fences and our pet tech privacy guide before connecting any pet device to your smart home.

How to Choose

1

Decide what you want to do by voice

Toss a treat (Furbo, Petcube), dispense food (PETKIT), or just watch a stream (eufy Indoor Cam).

2

Check your ecosystem

Almost all documented pet voice features are Alexa only. Google Home owners are mostly limited to camera live view.

3

Read the skill’s reviews

“Works with Alexa” on a box can mean anything from full control to opening the app.

4

Look for Routine support

Devices that show up under Alexa Devices (like Furbo) can be triggered by other events.

5

Don’t wait on Matter

We didn’t find any mainstream pet feeder or fountain certified for Matter.

6

Keep app schedules as the backup

Voice commands are a convenience, not a replacement for a reliable feeding schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I feed my cat with Alexa?

Yes, with some feeders. PETKIT documents “Alexa, open PETKIT, feed right now” for its Fresh Element feeders. Petcube and Furbo voice commands toss treats, not meals.

Does any pet camera work with Google Home?

eufy Indoor Cams (E30, C24, P24) list Google Assistant live view. We didn’t find documented Google support for Furbo or Petcube.

Does the Halo Collar work with Alexa?

Not according to Halo’s official materials. It’s managed through the Halo app.

Do voice-controlled feeders work offline?

Voice commands need the cloud. Most feeders keep running stored schedules during a Wi-Fi outage, but check each brand’s documentation. Our guide to what happens to smart feeders during an outage covers this in detail.

The Bottom Line

If you live in an Alexa home, Furbo and Petcube have the best-documented treat commands, and PETKIT is one of the few feeders with official voice-feeding docs. Google Home owners have fewer options, mainly an eufy Indoor Cam for live view. For a smart fountain, the CATLINK fountain is managed in its app. Whatever you pick, keep the app schedule as your backup.
